Snow condition
From 1100 to 1200 on the shady side, you can usually still get going. Above 1300-1400 still really good if there is no sun. South-facing slopes are usually forgettable.
Snow quality
Not as good as 2 days ago, very different types of snow, although it snowed a few cm yesterday, but above approx. 1600m the old snow cover underneath is very hard. When it gets steeper, you really need crampons! In general, it's very rough, especially due to the countless bolts of the numerous, sometimes large-area slopes, but then a few meters are quite good to ski, soft and grippy. The broken harsch below was already softened on the descent and the summer firn at the end was dirty but grippy.
Risks
Moderate to low, especially because a lot of snow has already gone down, a relatively long sliding snow avalanche has pushed itself several hundred meters into quite flat terrain, and there are several large cracks in the steep area further up, which you should keep an eye on.
Overall impression
Kind of cool, despite the mostly moderate snow, which you had to ski rather carefully due to the very flat light.
But instead we checked out a new cirque with cool terrain, met a relaxed chamois buck and were still in the snow before work.
Crampons would have been needed for the steeper ascent to the ridge, but that didn't look too rewarding anyway.
3rd * Discovery bonus.
