Snow condition
Even at 1000m take-off altitude there is now less than enough to ski down, only a few of the 30cm left from last week. Ground contact is unavoidable. From 1400 then better, but still to be enjoyed with caution.
Snow quality
The fresh snow is actually quite nice, but there was far too little. Further up, the snow from last week is still soft (-> no firm base).
Risks
Wind influence in the snow was clearly noticeable on the open summit slope, but generally steeper slopes are not yet suitable for downhill skiing. Getting stuck on something and falling on rocks is often more dangerous.
Overall impression
A few nice turns, but a lot more stone and ground contact. Rode back to the car by the skin of my teeth. Worked well as a first tour, but doesn't have to do it again tomorrow.
