Snow report Salzburger Land North, 11/30/2017
20-25cm New - unfortunately poor visibility and too little base at the bottom

Overall impression
Snow condition
Below 1000m there is actually only a bit of road or meadow sliding. From approx. 1400-1500m it gets interesting, but you should still be careful in the forest, above the tree line in the NE sector there is a lot of snow, but ridges etc. are sometimes free, all in all (except on slopes or so) defensive driving is still the order of the day.
Snow quality
Pretty cool. 20-25cm cold blower on either powder, slightly hardened or nothing... ;)
Risks
I chose a very defensive route, but I think it's not so easy in the high altitudes, especially as old danger spots can be partially covered, and in the forest the real danger lies in the inadequate base.
Overall impression
Looks a lot like winter, but it wasn't such a burner in terms of riding.
The route was flat and in the lower, steeper part of the forest there was little to do outside the forest path.
Above the tree line, visibility was very poor, so it was more or less a case of skiing down the ascent track.
All in all, it was getting slow, but now it should settle down and then it would be time for another good climb.
