Snow condition
Went down to the valley on the Geiglstein on Saturday, with a careful riding style and no contact with the enemy. You can let go on alpine meadows down to a good 1200 m. Today in Heutal up to 1000 easy. At the moment it's pissing down and the valleys will probably no longer be possible.
Snow quality
Two stars in total. Today there were two really nice, deep powder runs in the sheltered area. In general, however, alternating blown-off areas and more or less compact/hard drift snow pockets predominated. Below 1200m the rain crust was noticeable, but now a new one is coming anyway :(
Risks
Very difficult to judge where the surface rime from last week is (still) dangerous. Today, despite the masses in the Heutal, almost everyone was skiing defensively. Drift snow was clearly visible. Below 1000m we saw a fresh sliding snow slide (south, very steep, meadow). Mouths further up have subjectively not opened any further over the past few days.
Overall impression
On Saturday we had to fight through the storm and dull drift snow, today we found some nice powder with a great group, it was great fun. On the way home it was already raining. (Photos are from the rather blown off summit saddle at about 1700 m)
