Basically there is not much snow. It's particularly thin on sunny and/or low slopes and on the ridge where the wind blew hard last week. The slopes are mostly ok, at least those with some artificial snow. Away in the forest or on rocky slopes there was often not enough snow.

Snow quality

On the north-facing slopes, there is a relatively large amount of surface frost (approx. 5-10cm), soft and already nice to ride. A light crust of melt on the south-facing slopes. There were a few nice turns, but the conditions were also very different.

Risks

No avalanche activity seen. The snow conditions are very different from the wind last week and you should be careful here. You should be careful with fresh snow when the surface is ripe.

Overall impression

It was better than expected but I also expected quite little. But the sky was blue, snow mostly not so bad and it was much better than staying at home.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
