We were out and about again today in the heart of the Nordstau below the tree line. There was about 40 cm of new snow there in the morning. Over the course of the day, another 10 cm was added. Pretty decent for mid-December! You can now switch to an offensive skiing style, no contact with the enemy.

Fluffy and really deep, it could hardly have been better. There was no wind in the snow. A dream! The pictures speak for themselves.

Risks

In the sheltered forest, the fresh snow lay without the influence of wind. It was quite relaxed for us today. The sluff was also limited. We were still able to make out an avalanche of sliding snow in the sun exposure (it was already halfway snowed in again). In general, you should keep an eye out for fish mouths, we could see some from a distance in the northern exposure.

It could hardly be better! Today Salzburg was in Japan and I'd like it to stay that way for a very long time! Today was one of THOSE days!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
