Snow report Salzburger Land North, 12/20/2017

Snow condition
Top for the time of year. No contact with the enemy except on blown-off backs or where something has gone off before and was covered with snow again
Snow quality
Approx. 40-50cm of set powder, with approx. 10cm-15cm of icing on top. Really really cool to ride.
Risks
Not without. A lot of snow on the eastern slope, in the area of the Genneralmem wind signs. Overall, however, compact and well bound. Sluff was considerable and to watch out for. Gliding snow mouths can be seen all around and the descent in the north variant was considerable.
Overall impression
We had to track everything in and the lower part of the descent also involved digging through deep snow. But the effort was worth it. The descent via Genner Nord was sensational. I've never found such good conditions there. Sluff management almost like in AK was the order of the day.
