Snow condition
Unfortunately, the foundation is missing! Ground contact is not uncommon. The descent variant should be studied carefully during the ascent to protect your equipment and your own health. Approx. 20 cm to 25 cm of fresh snow at the start and more and more in the course of the ascent, then approx. 70 cm at the start of the descent. Hardly any wind influence during the entire tour.
Snow quality
It could hardly be better, cold, deep, powdery!
Risks
As already mentioned, there was hardly any wind on our tour. We were only out and about in the forest. The amount of fresh snow is not without its problems. Even in terrain around 30°, you should pay attention to your sluff management. I would definitely advise against steep gullies and slopes. You should also pay attention to the drift snow. Neighboring wind-exposed slopes were sometimes heavily blown off and in some hollows you could see a lot of drift snow.
Overall impression
Powder at last and of the best quality! Unfortunately, the base is still missing and the possibilities are therefore limited. But it's getting better and there's still more to come... But in all the powder madness, pay attention to the avalanche situation!
