In the sheltered nordstau, an average of around 60 cm has fallen up to the tree line and possibly more in some places. The base is now solid in these corners.

Unfortunately, the temperatures weren't quite low and today just couldn't make the 5 stars. But that's complaining on a high level. No hard surface and hardly any wind influence during our venture.

Risks

We had quite a lot of sluff. It was advisable to look for a sheltered position after the run and let the sluff pass by. Otherwise there were hardly any danger signs in the forest. There were a few very small loose snow slides from steep terrain. During the course of the day, we heard avalanche noises from the neighboring alpine terrain three times. The avalanches were somewhat larger in terms of sound. Due to a lack of visibility, we were unable to recognize the extent of each avalanche. You should be warned for tomorrow if you leave the tree line.

Overall impression

A very good end to the year, so the new year can continue.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
