Plenty of snow outside the forest and with the exception of steep south-facing slopes. No comparison to the lack of snow 20 or 30 km further north. So there would be a good basis for further snowfall.

Some decent turns are possible, especially on the wind-protected northern slopes. Overall, however, it's been too long since the last snowfall, much of the snow has been tracked and some of it is hard and blown off.

Risks

Rather uncritical overall, but further up some of the snow has already blown off and is now lying in hollows and gullies. There is probably still a problem with old snow on the north side.

Overall impression

Good weather, a few fine turns, but also really cold. All in all quite alright. But it's time for fresh snow, especially for the fun of skiing down. There was a lot going on at the summit, after all we were alone most of the time on our ascent route.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
