We started today at an altitude of around 1550 m. The tour was mainly south-west facing. Compared to the northern Alps, there is less snow in this region. Our tour went off without a hitch, although there were a few isolated patches of loose snow in the steeper terrain at the start (south-facing). From around 1900 m, the snow conditions are good. Some of the summit areas were very windswept (especially on the windward side). In general, wind tracks could be seen almost everywhere. With the high starting altitude there are still three stars.

Very good downhill conditions. We started the descent at around 12:30. The descent was a mix of some drift snow on the summit slope, firn in the intermediate section and then a transition to slightly damp snow (this was also very pleasant to ski as it was not yet deep). Our downhill timing was just right.

Risks

Classic spring conditions. Crampons should be in your luggage for the ascent to be on the safe side (today it was fine without them). You shouldn't start the descent too late at the moment either. The temperatures were back in the spring range today. We could see numerous older sliding snow chutes and cracks in the very sunny terrain.

Another fine day on the mountain. No wind, blue skies, a great mountain backdrop and a good descent. This is how you imagine a Monday.
