Snow condition

Solid snow conditions. Today we are waiting between approx. 1200 m and 2700 m with a focus on the north, northeast and east. At terrain transitions, where the wind has also left its mark, you should watch out for stones.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

We had almost everything today. A dream in wind-protected locations (4 stars), sections with a small wind cover (2 stars) and a very short traverse in the east exposure over old avalanche boulders (1 star). All in all, a solid 3 stars.

Risks

The main danger today was the drift snow. Once the fog had cleared, it was easy to recognize the accumulations of drift snow and avoid them both on the ascent and the descent.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

We had to wait a long time today before we could finally start our venture, as the fog persisted in the summit area. The wait was worth it, we were blessed with good snow and sunshine in the end.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
