There was a pretty good dose from Mrs. Holle's pillow overnight. In the morning we woke up to knee-deep powder in the parking lot. Depending on the expo and the wind, around 25-30cm had accumulated in the area. But that was urgently needed! South and West Expo in particular have virtually no base. In gullies and hollows as well as on the north side, however, it was very rideable. As we had such a good time almost all day, you could give it a 3. But since each of us had a lot of contact with the enemy in all expos, you can only give a 2 for February.

Some of the powder today was very fine - and without getting through to the surface or crusts. Powder grins guaranteed. However, where the sun or wind could attack, it became quite fast or a light cover could be felt.

Risks

After extensive blasting in the morning (without any visible success), the pack was let up shortly after 10. In medium steepness it was not critical today even in the blown-in terrain (north variant). But be careful on slopes steeper than 40 degrees and above 1900m. There were quite dangerous drift snow packs that had to be avoided.

After initially impaired visibility, the sun even came out in the afternoon. There was only time for breaks on the bus back to the lift. We need more days like this, especially because the base will be right at some point.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
