Schöne Frühjahrsskitour im Lungau

Snow condition
Even the medium-high starting point (approx. 1350 NE) no longer protects against carrying (approx. 200 m). All in all, it looks like there is a little less snow in the Lungau than in the neighboring Niedere Tauern, and it should still be possible for a while in the north-facing and high-altitude cirques.
Snow quality
There was no fresh snow up to 2300m and only sporadic pressed snow above that. But it didn't matter, because it was wonderfully firny right down to the bottom. The descent from the NE at half past noon was just right.
Risks
Relatively relaxed. The snow cover is very compact and baked. Note the typical diurnal cycle.
Overall impression
Very nice. Great ambience, good views and Bluebird. A bit more snow would be good, but still acceptable overall. Especially real firn through the clear, cold night.
