We were able to start at the north portal at an altitude of 1600 m without any problems and also ski down to the starting point (we were mainly in the north sector). The snow cover at this altitude is not particularly thick but still sufficient. From about 2000 m there is enough snow. There was about 5 cm to 20 cm (from about 2200 m) of fresh snow.

Fine set powder! The snow had no wind influence on the descent.

Risks

In the early morning, the wind picked up and brought a lot of snow with it. Tomorrow you should watch out for the new drift snow packs. From the early morning (around 8 a.m.), loose snow avalanches regularly came down from steeper, rocky terrain. We were able to observe another large loose snow avalanche at the parking lot (see pictures).

The weather and the snow were perfect today and we were out on our own, great day!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
