Really nice ski tour today on the Hocharn. Perfect firn on the descent! All in all: Extremely cool!

Snow condition
Not bad at all for the time of year, from Lenzanger about 15 minutes carrying. below the steep step you can already strap on and ski down again until then. above the steep step there is still plenty of snow. All in all no stone contact
Snow quality
Very early start at 04:30 a.m. It was damp with a light cover until just above the steep section. A little further up (about 1900m) there was a thick, supporting cover and the descent started shortly before 9 a.m. Perfect conditions down to 2000m, about 2-3 cm of finest firn, quasi firsttracks. Below 2000m it gets deeper and deeper, but depending on the expo (use the ridge and its shaded sides) it is still quite passable. Then really deep and avalanche cones in the steep section. You probably wouldn't have needed to ski down much later. But at 09:15, some still climbed just above the steep section...
Risks
Sometimes a bit tricky, watch the daily trend. Something has come down in almost all expos in the last few days. Some of them were quite heavy (see photos). Here is also an observation from the Sonnblick.
Overall impression
Really great action, rarely skied such good firn. The Hocharn also offers really great skiing terrain with relatively steep slopes!
