Exposition

South-West

Snow condition

5 cm fresh snow

Still good as far as sheltered high altitudes are concerned. The glaciers are still covered in snow. But there are very long paths everywhere. After cycling through the kilometer-long valleys, you usually still have to carry a lot.

Snow quality

Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Powder snow
Summer snow

The little fresh snow lies on a hard surface on the sunny side and becomes slightly moistened in the course of the morning. It's easy to ski and fast. On the shaded side, there is unfortunately a brittle cover underneath, rather unattractive. There are also a few hard spots exposed to the wind. The summer snow below is good to ski, sometimes a little rough.

Risks

Diurnal warming
West North-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

A few loose snow slides from today and yesterday could be seen, but mostly smaller ones.

Overall impression

Equal

Solo day mission in a lonely corner in the Venediger group with a long, snow-free approach/ride. But there is still quite a bit of snow in the high altitudes, it looks incredibly beautiful. :) You can find both good and rather modest snow quality. The next few days should be similar, from the middle of next week a change in the weather is forecast with some snowfall in the high altitudes.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
