Strong storm & beautiful firn

Snow condition
Very little, of course, even if it's amazing that after such a season in mid-June you can still do worthwhile ski tours with a descent of just under 1000 m without touching the glacier and below 3000m. But that is certainly the exception. Below 2000m there is really only something in very favorable gullies, it makes more sense with suitable exposure from approx. 2300m.Wide bike, carry and other routes are a prerequisite (except at very high starting points).
Snow quality
Quite good. Reasonably stable conditions in the morning due to the clear and cool night. Above 2700m, however, there was a layer of fresh snow on the NE side that wasn't frozen through and was slightly crumbly, with wet snow underneath. But it was ok to ski, and in the middle layers it was super firn. Good summer firn at the bottom.
Risks
Strongly dependent on exposure and time of day. It was finally a reasonably cold night again and the snow layer at lower altitudes has a pretty good cold reserve. At the top, the sun gets in quickly everywhere and sometimes there is the aforementioned damp layer. However, the strong storm at summit level has kept the shady areas very compact.
Overall impression
Very nice trip to the Glockner area.
There was quite a lot going on, but it went quite well, also because several different (beautiful) variants are possible.
The snow was almost always nice and fast.
However, the storm was really annoying at the top and you have to put up with the hustle and bustle in some parts of the area.
