Snow condition
On average, there is around 50 to 60 cm of snow. Above the tree line, you can clearly see the wind tracks and the amount of snow there therefore varies between a few cm and a meter. Today we spent most of our time in the 1600 m to 2000 m range. The lower 20 cm were slightly damp and then increasingly powdery at the top (the last 20 cm or so were really powdery). The lower 20 cm were rarely penetrated. This area therefore already forms a very good base. You could ski reasonably well in forest aisles. Alpine skiing doesn't really make sense yet.
Snow quality
Just like yesterday in the northern Alps, the snow was really good to ski on today. As we were in forest tracks most of the time, the wind didn't play a role.
Risks
Not critical in the forest, where the main danger came from rocks, roots and snow-covered bushes. In the high Alps, there will certainly already be critical accumulations of drift snow (inhomogeneous snow cover and visible wind tracks). Be careful there in any case!
Overall impression
Another nice day at the end of the weekend and the crowds were very limited today. It can go on like this.

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
