Not a good base in the Osterhorn group. You can currently start from 900m on the south side, but there's not much of it and with the forecast of good weather, it will quickly become less.
Snow quality
Around Gaißau there was much less snow than expected. The snow line was probably still quite high at the beginning. Max. 10cm of fresh snow/sleet mixture. It was fine to ride here and there, but overall very variable because the wind was quite strong.
Risks
Due to the very poor visibility, it is difficult to make an assessment. There was a lot of wind, but the issued 3 was probably based on more fresh snow.
Overall impression
Not that exciting but not completely in vain either. Tomorrow we'll try further east. No photos as it's just gray soup anyway.
