Exposition
Snow condition
15-20cm of fresh snow with lots of wind. Drifting snow with strong fluctuations in the snowpack. Ridges are mostly blown off and there is still a widespread risk of stone contact. You could have fun on untracked slopes in the morning, but not so much in the backcountry. There is far too little snow in the forest and also in forest aisles. Hopefully the coming days will bring some improvement.
Snow quality
Really good drifting snow in places, but also very blown off in places. The untracked slopes were great in the morning, but rather poor off-piste.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: strong
Altitude: 1800 m – 2300 m
Risks
Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)
Above, strong winds over 50km and correspondingly large loads.
Overall impression
Still too little fresh snow to fundamentally change the poor snow situation. Lots of drifting snow. The untracked piste was good. The terrain doesn't look good yet.
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
