Variations of snow cover

The snow conditions are not good for the time of year, south sides are quite high and completely without snow. North-facing tours with continuous snow from the parking lot, but a meadow base is still recommended, otherwise there are lots of sharks lurking.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Powder snow

Above 2000m in wind-calm areas top powder, which increases greatly with altitude. Below 1900m mostly crushed slush/very hard snow.

Risks

Old snow problem

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

No danger signs seen on the tour, fresh snow was fairly unbound. Old snow problem still present, especially drift snow should form in the short term

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne
Equal

We were positively surprised by the amount of fresh snow at altitude. However, this varies greatly on a small scale. Because it was so good above 2000m, we skied up there again. There is no snow in the dense forest.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
