There's not much more to say. After the super dump 2 weeks ago, you can ride really well everywhere. Some ridges and crests are a bit blown off, as always

Yesterday (26.01.): Fluffy powder, about 30cm, depending on the expo on a hard or medium-hard base. Nice to ride! With the loosening up and the sun you could tell it was getting a bit damp, but that didn't get in the way of the fun. Today: (27.01.): After a clear and cold night, snow started to fall in the morning. By noon it was extremely dumpy and by 1430 you could almost knee-deep powder on the piste, even better in the backcountry of course ;-). The snow was cold and really fluffy! By 4 o'clock, 40cm of new snow had accumulated at the top. Not much wind.

Risks

Attention. The connection between yesterday's snow and today's snow is extremely poor. This afternoon you could make out a lot of mini outcrops (in the 3x3 meter range). The cracks were no higher than today's fresh snow. Although the snow looked unbound to me, it came off as a clod. With the warming tomorrow and the further, intensive precipitation, it's going to be pretty bad in the terrain.

2 great days in Flims/Laax. I think dumps with 30-50 cm on a base are worlds better than 120 cm on nothing. Two weeks ago you had to think very carefully about where to stop in order to get away at all, not to mention the onslaught of powder-addicted, lockdown-ridden and fog-ridden Unterlanders on the first beautiful day. Today and yesterday you could shoot in peace and quiet, that's how I like it. The photos are from yesterday, by the way.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
