Snow condition

More than sufficient by now, I don't think I need to say much more...

Snow quality

Overnight it snowed heavily on the mountain and in the valley! There must have been another 70cm at the top. In the morning the snow was still nice and fluffy, but you needed a lot of speed to avoid getting stuck. There was also surprisingly little wind below the Crap. Towards midday, the snow line was sure to rise to 1500 and so the fun was over after half a day. It might have been possible at the top, but at the bottom it was an almost unrideable mess...

See the last CR for the background: poor connection in the various snow layers. Temperature fluctuations in the last few days (warm to cold, see Bergfex weather station Crap Masegn temperature curve of the last 7 days) and the significant warming during the day does not ease the situation. Other dangers: If you fall headfirst and get stuck, you'll be lucky to have a buddy behind you to dig you out, otherwise it could be over pretty quickly.

Overall impression

Great morning but once again complaining at a high level: 30cm less would probably have been enough :P
P.s.: By the way, we were in Laax. Disentis apparently got even more
