Variations of snow cover

Catastrophic snow conditions. Pines not covered and actually no base before the snowfall. Freeriding is only possible in the Reitherkar at the moment. But even there you have to watch out for isolated rocks.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne
Wet snow
Slush
Powder snow
Wind drifted snow

It snowed 20cm overnight in Seefeld, but the base is relatively wet and below 1600m the snow is also relatively moist. Nice powder above that

Wind drifted snow

North North-Eas East

Intensity: no wind

Risks

Cracking (When entering the snow cover)
West North-West

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

Drift snow north / north east. Small accumulations in the Reither Kar more wind and higher susceptibility to disturbances.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne
Equal

Unfortunately little base and too warm. Nice powder at the top but unfortunately not enough to get through to the hard old snow cover. Maybe with better weather more possibilities.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
