Snow condition
Extremely good snow conditions. You can set off directly from Guarda on skis and get back down again easily. All the glaciers and rocks in the terrain are well covered in snow.
Snow quality
On the south side, the snow is very wet up to almost 2,700 m. Good powder on the north side in wind-protected areas, but a little settled in places.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: low
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
The main danger is wet snow and drifting snow. Particular attention must also be paid to cornices, which are sometimes extremely large.
Overall impression
Nice first day of touring on the Silvretta tour with a long ascent from Guarda over the Vermuntpass to the Wiesbadener Hütte. Saw a lot and explored the area quite well, so it can go on.
