Sehr heikel heute! Powdern in Sölden nur bei wirklich defensivem Verhalten ratsam.

Snow condition
Snow conditions are now fine up to the tree line. Everything above that has either blown off or is crumbling hard. Where it looks reasonably ok snow-wise, the slopes are full of drift snow. However, you can still find some powder between the trees. Ground contact is now also very rare, at least from an altitude of around 1700.
Snow quality
Predominantly hardpack and drift snow. Only very rarely did you find powder snow in the forest. But this was also heavier. Fortunately, it didn't rain up to this altitude recently.
Risks
According to the LLB above 2000 meters warning level 3 below 2. Personally, I would rather issue a 4 today. I found it very critical today. There were self-releases everywhere. There was also a lot of blasting. Even in the forest in the relatively flat terrain, there were always cracks in the snow. You had to be very careful today.
Overall impression
We still found a few nice runs and the first waist-deep powder. Nevertheless, if you're out and about in the area, you should definitely take care. Pictures will follow in the next hour!
