It has done about 30 cm from 2500m downwards, a little less. There is virtually no base at all. The glacier is fine, but it's pretty sharky. Steeper descents are still out of the question. Otherwise, the fresh snow lies directly on the meadow or on rocks. 1-2 stars.

Snow quality

Most of the snow was really powdery and easy to ski on. Sometimes it had a very light crust, but that didn't bother us. Without a base, however, you had to ski very carefully. With difficulty 3 stars

Risks

Drift snow on the shady alpine slopes certainly poses a considerable danger. Further down, the snow is wet from the rain. There were no descents to be observed.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

Nice to have some snow on my face again. However, only on flat terrain and to be enjoyed with caution, as contact with the ground is to be expected. Below about 2200m the snow was a bit wet but still good to ride. A beautiful day that would have been even better if the sun had come out.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
