Today we got about 20cm of fresh snow and it continues to snow diligently. Unfortunately, this is not enough to finally be able to give it three stars. Stone contact is still to be expected.
Snow quality
Better than expected today. The powder snow wasn't quite as fluffy but still okay. It wasn't blown away by the wind either. In the valley, however, it rained around midday. The snow quality here was pretty miserable, but luckily you only have to go down into the valley once.
Risks
According to the LLB warning level three today. However, the wind was not as bad as expected. Up to 2400 meters it was relatively calm. Only at the very top was the wind raging. This should have blown away quite a lot of snow. Towards midday, the wind picked up further down and it got warmer. The avalanche risk is likely to be much more critical tomorrow.
Overall impression
Super day today. However, most of the lanes closed around midday and we called it a day.
