Snow condition
Our destination was the Winnebacher Weißkogel. We set off from Gries. We had to carry our skis for the first 700 m to the Winnebacher Hütte, after that we could continue on skis, the snow cover was closed from 2500 m and the few stones that were there were clearly visible.
Snow quality
There was still settled powder in the area from 3200 m to 2800 m. After that we had hit the spring sweet spot. 3 cm of firn on a nice firm top. 3 stars for spring skiing.
Risks
We were unable to make any observations today. But we also left well before the time of any wet snow events.
Overall impression
Beautiful spring ski tour in perfect weather. Mood and level were inversely proportional to each other
