Snow condition

The snow conditions were good, so it was possible to ski up to the Martin Busch hut from Vent. At the end of the week, we were able to ski down to the parking lot via the slopes of the Wildspitzlift without coming into contact with rocks, but there was a lack of snow in the valley below the Hochjochhospiz on the final ascent. You probably have to carry a bit further now.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

The snow quality was good, especially on the wind-protected eastern flank of the Weisskugel (see photos), but in the afternoon the snow was too wet, so that the last descent should not be tackled after 1/14 pm!

Risks

The avalanche situation was more relaxed above 2500m, below this limit wet snow avalanches are to be expected in steeper slopes from early noon.

Overall impression

Beautiful one-week tour from Vent to Vent via Martin Busch, Similaun, Bella Vista, Hochjochhospiz (Weisskugel), Vernagt and the final Wildspitze including ridge walk. Classic.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
