There is still plenty of snow in Obergurgl-Hochgurgl too. Given the altitude and the recent snowfall over the last few days, you can easily ski up from the parking lot. I think you can still tour here for a very long time, because the amount of snow is enormous!
Snow quality
Quite hard in the morning (start 06:30) on a load-bearing lid. As we ascended in the ski area, the situation didn't change. On the descent, we caught the perfect moment to ski down into the valley on firn. At about 2000m it became very boggy and dull.
Risks
Even when we were out and about in the ski area, we could see some wet snow avalanches. The recent snowfall had accumulated quite a bit. As the day warmed up, the slopes in the steep terrain unloaded. Otherwise, however, it was relatively relaxed.
Overall impression
The last tour for me this season, we took it easy again. I have to say that it has its own charm to be out and about in a completely forbidden place/ski area and to have it "all to yourself". A nice finish with a great descent. Unfortunately, the weather at the summit changed by the second, so visibility was zero.
