There is little snow. Without snowmaking, you couldn't ski here, so you can ski on the snow-covered slopes to a certain extent, although stones or grass are always peeking out. off-piste, you can theoretically make a few turns in heavily snow-covered areas above 3000 m, but it's actually better not to do that. valley run in Obergurgl with difficulty, not enough in Hochgurgl.

Well, artificial snow from top to (almost) bottom...

Risks

Where there is enough snow (which is rare enough) I would be careful, everything is very strongly influenced by the wind.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Despite the poor snow conditions and the less-than-optimal pistes compared to the other options at the moment, it was very good - almost no one was there and the completely empty pistes were a real treat after the last few days on the completely overcrowded glaciers. No queuing at the lift and the pistes weren't even full in the afternoon... However, piste skiing is definitely the order of the day instead of freeride skiing.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
