Snow condition
There is actually enough snow. Only in some high areas can you get through onto the stones. At lower altitudes (forest, meadows) there is a better base.
Snow quality
At lower altitudes (forest) and in areas sheltered from the wind, the powder is great; where there was more wind, the snow is firmer but very good to ski.
Risks
Lots of fresh snow and wind are of course to be treated with caution. I was on rather flat terrain. As the wind picked up, it became very drifty. I preferred to end the ski day quickly. With the fresh snow and storms over the next few days, the avalanche risk is sure to increase significantly.
Overall impression
There could be many of these days this winter. Sunshine and pleasant temperatures... Winter wonderland in the valley.
There were already many great runs in the off-piste terrain. The snow was varied: sometimes fluffy powder, sometimes influenced by the wind or even blown off (easy to avoid), but no cover. It was best where the wind was in, because the snow was then compacted to such an extent that you didn't hit any stones, but it was still pleasant to ski without any particular effort. From 2 pm onwards, the wind picked up quickly and some lifts (Topexpress) were closed.
The day actually deserved 4 stars. Only the "trying out", where is it good, where not so... cost the one star.
Unfortunately, the photos do not reflect the good conditions.

Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
