Snow condition

3 von 5 Sterne

Actually sensational for Sölden at this time of year. The first freeride lines on the Gaislachkogl can already be ridden. The south side and exposed areas are blown off. North is very well filled. In recent years, the winter ski area could not be opened at this time of year, but today it is.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne

Settled powder (10cm) very compact, partly influenced by wind. The snow was best in north-facing gullies.

Risks

The snow cover has settled well, but the danger will increase drastically again with the coming snowfall. As this will then be deposited on surface frost or wind crusts. Old avalanches and snow fields could be observed. However, very well settled today.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

Actually 3 stars but unfortunately the visibility didn't play along. Nevertheless, much better than expected 10cm of powder and first lines five days after the last snowfall.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
