There is still no snow at all in the valley. Not even the upper section of the Gaislachkogel gondola is open to skiers. On the glacier itself, all pistes are open and a few daredevils have ventured off-piste.
Snow quality
Artificial snow and quite usable grippy snow on glaciers. Perfect for piste skiing, my skis were too good for off-piste skiing.
Risks
Currently no great danger. At high altitudes and on glaciers, however, you should still keep an eye on the crevasses and drift snow.
Overall impression
Quite a nice day. As hoped, there's hardly anything going on at the moment
