Snow condition
Below 1700m it doesn't really look good for this time of year. Above that it's white all over and you can get down everywhere, but there are still a few rocky spots. A snowfall would definitely not do any harm, especially on the sides facing the wind.
Snow quality
Unfortunately, everything is pretty blown out, harsh, drifting snow or crumbling snow. Unfortunately in almost all exposures. Today we skied down from St. Corvatsch to Pontresina (exposure north/east). From about 2400m there was also some firn.
Risks
According to the LLB warning level 2, the poor visibility described by the LLB is also present in this area. Yesterday we dug a snow profile in the forest on the Diavolezza below the gondola at about 2200m. After about 40cm of well-settled snow, there was about 10cm of weak visibility. However, this could not be released with the normal ect (ect31). The block only came loose after jumping twice with skis. In general, the snow cover made a good impression.
Overall impression
It's high time for some fresh snow. The snow conditions are okay, but it's not really fun at the moment. However, as I've never been to this area before, we went on a really cool tour today despite the not-so-great snow conditions.
