Exposition
Snow condition
Lagalb and Diavolezza probably looked pretty blown off before the last snowfall. Small stones had to be skilfully avoided.
Snow quality
20cm of powder on an opaque layer of old snow. Protected it was bomb, we forgot the rest.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
In the morning we cruised down the Lagalb until we saw a big slab of snow coming down from the gondola, which went all the way into the ravine.
Avalanche activity
Dry slab avalanche (medium)
Altitude: 2700 m
Overall impression
Flatlight fighters in the morning and suddenly the visibility was good and we changed sides of the road and eased off the gas pedal. In the evening, we revived our legs over the glacier and refueled with a delicious Bellavista.
