Snow condition
well, you don't want to compare it with last year, but of course you can't moan about the snow situation. some exposed areas have been blown off over a large area, otherwise there is enough compact snow.
Snow quality
there's been about as much usable fresh snow in the area since christmas as condition reports - almost nothing. and when there is, it's more dust on crust. even the 15-20 cm from thursday night was blown away again on friday morning. so fluffy powder is hard to find. but you can find a few nice accumulations of drifting snow (watch out!). the best was to be found today on the east side of the diavolezza. the snow here had already had a good sting by midday and we can expect a cap tomorrow morning. there's about 15 cm of drifting snow. it looks good in places. but the base often knocks the plugs out of your teeth... where the wind has been raging for the last few weeks, you can often find knee-high windswept lines, the likes of which I've rarely seen before.
Risks
where the snow was blown, you should of course be careful. with today's warming, some snow came from the sunny steep terrain, but nothing great yet
Overall impression
after a long period of slush and slab powder, even small drifting snow lentils can put a smile on your face again. but i would be happy to see good conditions again for a longer period in march and april.
