Snow condition
Last week there was around one meter of fresh snow. In the upper section of the Corvatschbahn, some of the rocks are only covered with loose powder snow.
Snow quality
The südstau has delivered on Corvatsch. Below 2400m, the fresh snow became damp and heavy over the course of the day.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
There was a lot of fresh snow on the extremely steep terrain and it slid off easily on the old layer. Overall, it looked very stable for the issued llb3+.
Avalanche activity
Altitude: 3000 m
Overall impression
It's likely to get worse in the short term before the next dump comes at the weekend. Yesterday we had a great day and with the clearing at midday we reaped a 5* day.
