Exposition
Snow condition
Still pretty sharky off the top of the Corvatch. It's actually best in the middle altitudes and a bit flatter.
Snow quality
Fine powder snow. Little wind. Slightly warmer settled powder below 2000m.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Sharks treacherously snowed in. Steep stuff makes no sense just because of the sharks, so there's not much to report about the avalanche trip. Some drift snow sighted at the edge of the piste but mostly without wind influence. Some loose snow slides in extremely steep terrain.
Overall impression
Unfortunately there are far too few bases to really go freeriding. There are a few hollows and, with the handbrake on, even bigger slopes when the visibility clears up, but the stones are inevitably lurking and it's therefore not really fun to ride with good equipment. You'd rather be on an Allgäu grass mountain!
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
