Snow condition

Above 2200m, the Engadin is already good enough for ski touring and freeriding. There is a good base there. From 2600m, the snow depth increases significantly. There is then at least 90cm on the slopes. Ridges and ridges and extremely stony areas are not yet completely covered. But no comparison to the Northern Alps

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

Light powder snow 20cm with a soft base above 2300m. Hard base below 2300m. Partly very light wind influence noticeable. Very fine skiing

Risks

Drift snow should be taken into account, especially above 2600m.

Overall impression

In the Engadin, a lot is already possible, ski tours on the Julier Pass are almost all standard routes without any problems. On Sunday we went freeriding on the Corvatsch, which is also fine.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
