It's a good idea to adapt your choice of route to the risk of sharks. The snow conditions on the Stubai Glacier are still precarious. Even the recent precipitation hasn't changed that. I was glad to have my stone skis several times.

beautiful powder and good drifting snow. unfortunately with a high risk of sharking

Wind drifted snow

Intensity: medium

Risks

Old snow problem
South

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

There's drift snow in every exposure. The old snow problem didn't seem quite as toxic to me as, for example, in yesterday's CR from the Navistal or in my last one from the Schlick. At least the snowpack was less sensitive. But the board may also have been a little less pronounced and the snow a little more powdery. No cracks, no wumming etc., but clearly widespread accumulation of drift snow But the invisible danger remains.

Overall impression

Worse

Nice day in the ski area. Still good powder (with a high risk of sharks). The foehn will probably come tomorrow, so it will probably be worse again

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
