Snow condition
At the top of the glacier, the snow has probably peaked. Even steep, rocky crevasses are completely snow-covered and skiable thanks to the recent snowfall. Steeper ice flanks are also covered in snow. Good snow conditions up to approx. 2600m, acceptable up to approx. 2300m. Further down, it quickly becomes less, even if the fresh snow down to the valley still looked like winter.

Snow quality
On the north side, fantastic powder snow all day long, at least on the steeper slopes. On flatter slopes and in all other exposures, the snow suffered very quickly due to the strong sun. Generally little wind influence in the fresh snow.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Unbound fresh snow that has slid along as sluff on steeper slopes. Wet, loose snow avalanches from rocky, steady terrain. A snow slab between the Daunscharte-Schlepper exit and the Wildspitz chair was visible from a distance. In general, little wind influence was felt in the fresh snow, but there does seem to be potential for snow slabs in places (especially on the high alpine north side?). However, every centimeter in the area was ungroomed without any further signs.
Avalanche activity
Dry slab avalanche (small)
Altitude: 3200 m
Snow slab between Daunscharte-Schlepper exit and Wildspitz chair
Overall impression
The finest fresh snow and beautiful lines, a little away from the hustle and bustle of the ski area. Super day, supposedly the last powder day in Tyrol for this winter?
