Snow condition
Good snow conditions all the way down to the valley, even off-piste you can get down to the valley without any problems, except on very rocky, somewhat steeper slopes where the snow conditions could be better (e.g. the rock bar on the south side of the Ruderhofspitze is not yet closed).
Snow quality
In our north-facing gully, there was still really fine and surprisingly deep powder snow for the most part. In a few places, there was a light wind cover, and on the more open, wider slope on the approach, the powder snow lay on a compact layer of harsh snow.
Risks
2 avalanches were visible. Below the summit structure of the Ruderhofspitze, approx. 3400m, exposure south- Approx. 2500m, exposure north/northwest (triggered by a skier behind a terrain crest, triggering in an area with little snow?) According to the LWD, attention should be paid to drifting snow and possible weak layers in the old snow.
Overall impression
Really good snow in a fine gully today. Wind-protected, north-facing gullies still seem to be going well at the moment. So you can still have a lot of fun where it's not yet tracked :)
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
