Variations of snow cover

On forest paths you can reach the valley from high starting points in the Stubaital. In the dense forest there is 0-1cm, all photos are above 1700m. Almosen and Streucher are often not covered enough even in open aisles.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

Nice cold powder, but quite bottomless and no compact layers in the more wind-protected areas. Above 2000m wind influence and partly blown off spots present

Risks

North

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Watch out for shoots at high altitudes in blown-in areas, very susceptible to disturbance at these temperatures and hardly any improvement over the next few days.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne
Equal

On the north side, the powder snow will hold up well over the next few days. Unfortunately, the snow conditions in the Stubai Valley were a little worse than expected. It's best to look for fairly flat meadow slopes.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
