...with fresh snow. It rained a long way up, so the amount of snow has remained unchanged for some time. Not nothing, but still really bad for mid-January.
Snow quality
Lousy. Really hard, rutted, crushed snow. Plus a few centimetres of fresh snow from just under 2000. Hopefully it will continue to snow enough to cover it up...
Risks
Still critical, but with the visibility and snow conditions you might as well not go off-piste.
Overall impression
Rather bad.
