Short ski tour from the ski area at the entrance to the Stubai Valley

Snow condition
If you look around Innsbruck, it looks like a lot of snow. That's also true for the north. It has snowed a lot in the Karwendel. Towards the south, i.e. towards the Stubai Valley, the snow is getting noticeably less. There's a good 15 cm of snow at the parking lot. Unfortunately, it only gets a little more up to the summit, around 25-30cm. And unfortunately in both cases on virtually no base. Grasses and alpine roses are everywhere. In the forest it is often very thin and stones are often just covered. Above the trees there is a lot of wind. Often no more snow near the ridges.
Snow quality
Most of the snow is still good cold powder due to the cold. Only on the south side can you get a hint of a crust. But it hardly bothers you when skiing. Unfortunately, it's easy to break through the cold powder and come into contact with bushes or stones.
Risks
According to the LLB over 2000m 3, below that 2. The tour goes just over 2000m but without major slopes or gullies where you could encounter the old snow problem. I had the feeling that all the snow was blown out of the skiable slopes. But I was busy enough not to catch any stones.
Overall impression
Good to be outside. It's also a beautiful winter landscape south of Innsbruck and the fresh snow is loose and good. Unfortunately, it's practically the only snow and so the possibilities are still very limited.
