Really little snow here too. Due to the strong wind, the hollows and gullies are somewhat filled in, but ridges, crests, etc. are sometimes completely blown away, and it is difficult to get down into the valley, but contact with the ground cannot be ruled out from top to bottom. The glaciers are also badly snow-covered, making it feel a bit like November...

The pistes were quite ok, but we're talking about freeride and touring conditions here and they're poor - practically everything was heavily blown over, i.e. broken slush and hard snow. Towards the valley in the shady slopes, there was often still settled powder, but then again the snow conditions were not good enough.

Risks

Definitely still tense. Large crack edges, especially in the blown-in terrain close to the ridge, and it's actually not without problems everywhere where there is enough snow and gradient for off-piste skiing.

Well, the weather and skiing was quite nice, but at the end of January I don't really want to do that anymore...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
