Snow condition
The snow conditions are average for a normal winter. Most of the mountain pines are quite well covered, although this has also been better in the past. You can see a strong wind influence in the terrain, many (north-facing) ridges are blown off and the stones come through more strongly in these places. Normal snow conditions in the forest, so you can ski a lot, but you shouldn't plow through without thinking.
Snow quality
In the sheltered forest, you will find good snow on an attractive base. However, you should still watch out for dead wood etc. in places. At the top in more open areas there is a lot of wind influence, which results in a very inhomogeneous snow cover. In this respect, really beautiful turns with good snow quality alternate quickly and frequently with areas of poor snow quality.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: medium
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
You can see many signs of wind and large deposits of drift snow. These are mainly located behind terrain edges, in gullies and hollows. There were no signs of fresh avalanches, but you can see snow-covered cones from the previous weeks at almost all exposures.
Overall impression
All in all a nice round before work and after the Schlick (was good, but quickly tracked). Still difficult to find something safe and rewarding in the terrain, but hopefully the snowpack will settle properly in the coming days. The snow quality is okay overall, depending on the exposure and wind influence, there is everything from top powder to what feels like crushed slush.
